The Orvélo Sprint, is an amber-coloured ale. Besides the classic ingredients: brewing water, malt, hops & yeast, the Sprint also benefits from a "cold hop infusion" during the lagering process. The secondary fermentation in the bottle comes from the family Brettanomyces Spp, Brett for the friends. This wild yeast, like a classic cyclist approaching the finish line, will burn off all remaining sugars in an anaerobic victory sprint! This genre of " deep beer" makes the Sprint a dry ale with a classic hoppy character and a 6.5 alc vol %.
In terms of sensory descriptors, the following are the main ones scored: hop bitterness, fruity-sour, earthy & dry.
